MMEU Brings Care & Support to Kalama Park on April 14

On Monday, April 14, 2025, the MMEU (Mobile Medical Education Unit) was stationed at Kalama Park in Kihei to provide Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more.

Mahalo to Community Partners:

Aloha House: provided 14 participants with information regarding substance use and/or mental health services.

Dr. Ricalde-Garcia: completed blood pressure testing for three individuals, offered medical care kits, and was available for medical non-critical wound care.

Maui Aids Foundation: distributed hygiene kits and other personal care items, provided medical QUEST information, and offered free STD testing.

Maui Humane Society: provided multiple animals with various services, including vaccinations, distribution of food, dog toys, collars, leashes, and harnesses.

The MMEU will be stationed at Kalama Park, Kihei, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in April.
