MMEU Continues Service at Kalama Park in Kihei

On Monday, March 31 2025, the MMEU (Mobile Medical Education Unit) was stationed at Kalama Park in Kihei to provide Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more.
Mahalo to Community Partners:
Aloha House: provided 14 participants with information regarding substance use and/or mental health services.
Department of Education: distributed food, hygiene kits, hats, shoes, sunscreen, and other personal care items.
Maui Aids Foundation: distributed food, hygiene kits, and other personal care items; offered medical QUEST information and free STD testing.
Project Vision: provided multiple participants with information on SNAP and/or medical insurance benefits and assisted 4 individuals with government benefits.
The MMEU will be stationed at Kalama Park, Kihei, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in April.
