On Monday, March 24, 2025, the MMEU (Mobile Medical Education Unit) was stationed at Kalama Park in Kihei to provide Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more.
Mahalo to Community Partners:
Aloha House: provided 17 participants with information regarding substance use and/or mental health services.
Department of Education: distributed food, hygiene kits, hats, shoes, sunscreen, and other personal care items.
Maui Humane Society: provided four animals with various services; vaccinations, distribution of food, dog toys, collars, leashes and harnesses.
Project Vision: provided multiple participants with information on SNAP and/or medical insurance benefits and assisted 4 individuals with government benefits.
The MMEU will be stationed at Kalama Park, Kihei, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in March and April.
