Mobile Medical Education Unit

On Monday, June 24, 2024, the MMEU (Mobile Medical Education Unit) was stationed along Ho’aloha Park offering Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more.


Mahalo to Community Partners:

  • Aloha House: provided 12 clients with services regarding substance abuse and mental health.

  • Department of Education: distributed food and hygiene kits, sunscreen, and other personal care items.

  • Goodwill Maui: provided 12 clients with information on free services available.

  • Maui Humane Society: provided 12 clients with various services; distributed food, collars, leashes, harnesses, vaccinations, and microchips.

  • Project Vision: provided participants with information on SNAP benefits and assisted three individuals with government benefits. Their nurse was available to assist participants with non-critical wound care.


The MMEU will be stationed along Hoʻaloha Park, in Kahului, during the month of July between 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
