Mobile Medical Education Unit (MMEU) Provides Essential Services to Maui’s Houseless Community at Ho’aloha Park

On Monday, January 27, 2025, the MMEU (Mobile Medical Education Unit) was stationed along Ho’aloha Park offering Maui’s houseless community mental health services, food stamps, non-critical wound care, clothing, and much more.

Mahalo to Community Partners:

Aloha House: provided 16 participants with information regarding substance use and/or mental health services.

Maui Humane Society: provided 10 animals with various services; vaccinations, distribution of food, dog toys, collars, leashes, and harnesses.TD

 testing.

Maui Aids Foundation: distributed food, hygiene kits, and other personal care items; offered medical QUEST information, and offered free STD testing.

Maui Humane Society: provided 10 animals with various services; vaccinations, distribution of food, dog toys, collars, leashes and harnesses.

The MMEU will be stationed along Hoʻaloha Park, in Kahului, during January and February between 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
