They ensure that applicants meet the Maui Police Department’s stringent eligibility criteria, including educational background, experience, comprehensive background checks, and physical fitness standards. This phase may involve initial interviews, written examinations, and thorough assessments of candidates’ suitability for the roles.

Ride Along

Individuals interested in participating in a ride along with a Maui Police Department officer can do so by applying for the program. This unique opportunity is primarily offered to applicants pursuing a career with the Maui Police Department. It allows aspiring officers to experience firsthand the duties and responsibilities of our dedicated personnel.

To ensure safety and compatibility, applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements. Participants must be 21 years of age or older and undergo a thorough background check. These measures help maintain the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, ensuring that our ride-along program remains a valuable and insightful experience for all involved.
